Records are visually graded, but I do listen to intros for crackle and clarity, and play through any marks. Please read the entire listing to avoid any misunderstanding.

THE BEATLES – RUBBER SOUL – 2nd PRESSING – MONO – VG

A very good, playable copy of the 2nd pressing, but still from 1965. Nice glossy vinyl, VG grade as there are quite a lot of sleeve lines in a bright light and one visible scuff across track 5 on side 2 (see photo). I couldn’t hear anything repetitive from this except one pop in the gap between T5 & T6 (see below for full playback details).

Matrices: XEX 579 - 4 and XEX 580 - 4 with the matrix numbers also appearing on the labels.
K/T tax code embossed on side one around the spindle hole. Serif type set on labels. Garrod and Lofthouse sleeve.

There is a light crackle during the run-ins, but fine when it plays. Excellent sound quality and quite quiet between tracks. There is a bit of background during Michelle, but it doesn’t dominate or detract. Overall, the record sounds great with little or no background.

Cover is in very robust condition, with slight rubbing to corners at the open side and a small (3cm) patch of wear on the top edge. Unlaminated rear is clean except for a name in pen at the top.
Comes with the original tracing paper lined “Emitex” inner sleeve.
