GRADING:
My records are strictly graded by the Record Collector system, and I will never auction any item less than "Good". That leaves us with 4 categories; Mint, Excellent, Very Good and Good. Since there aren't many 40 year old records that are Mint, ie "sealed and unplayed" as per the Record Collector guide, I tend to use "Near Mint" to signify a pristine example, played maybe once or twice. However, if I use the term "Mint" to describe a certain facet of my item, then you can be assured - I mean MINT!!. I use +/- where I feel records fall between 2 categories. I do not use terms like "EX+++!!!!!!!!" as they are meaningless. I aim to grade accurately, without exaggeration. I also try to grade each aspect of the record separately to give as full a description as possible.
Please contact me before bidding if you require further details about condition - I am happy to provide further close-up images via e-mail as necessary.
All records are played on my top end system (Linn / Audio Technica / stylus changed every 2 months) and are handled with great care (latex gloves, actually!) - not because they are priceless items, just that I don't want to leave my own mark on them, as others may have done over the years.
I try to include as many pictures as is reasonable to give as much information as possible for the bidder. The pictures are taken at high resolution, and I aim to show anything that is relevant. Feel free to ask for further pictures showing specific details.
Furthermore, as one man's NM- is another man's EX+, all items offered with money back guarantee.
Postage and Packing:
All Items will be shipped in mailing envelopes with stiffeners. Important LP's above a value of £50 will be shipped with hardboard stiffeners at no extra cost. Currently up to £30 for 1st Class and signed for, and up to £500 for Special. Remember to include additional postage if you require Special delivery, or I will assume 1st class is adequate.
