Description
This release has Dr. Robert printed on the jacket and Doctor Robert printed on the record label.
This is the incredibly rare 1st press Variation C. This variation incorporates the corrected “Doctor Robert” spelling with a sans-serif font on the label. This label also notably displays side one having both “Taxman” and “Eleanor Rigby” on the first line. The credits pattern of “Song (Composer)-Lead Singer” has also now switched to “Song-Lead Singer (Composer)”.
Sleeve: VG. There is creasing down the spine in partocular, but also along all edges. Lamination coming away slightly in places, over George in particular. Rear flipbacks are also in very good condition and could possibly be cleaned up a little without damaging the sleeve. See photos.
Record: VG. There are some surface marks, mainly whispy sleeve marks, but a couple of light scratches and scuffs. It plays through beautifully with only minor crackling, mainly noticable between tracks, but there may be the occasional click. It certainly didn't detract from my enjoyment of the record!
Record Collector VG The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
This record is from the collection of radio DJ Tony Prince.
See photos as they are an integral part of the description. All records are sold as seen.
