This is the UK 7th press of 'Please Please Me' by The Beatles. This rare late yellow and black MONO press is complete with the laminated Garrod & Lofthouse 'patents pending' flipback sleeve with the small 'mono' text. It is also complete with the original Emitex inner sleeve.
The record is in Excellent condition. The vinyl has only been lightly played, there is a superb gloss and certainly no whitening of the grooves at all. There are just a few very light wispy marks. On playing the sound is superb, extremely rich and clear. The voices and warm and the backing is bold and complete. The yellow and black Parlophone label is exceptionally clean. The black is bold, the yellow is bright and the text is exceptionally sharp. There is just the very light spindle wear. The record is complete with its original Emitex polylined inner.
The rare laminated flipback sleeve is in Excellent condition. The colours are bold, the laminate has a stunning mirrorlike shine and the picture is exceptionally clear. There is a little light fold in the corner. The flipbacks are still complete and sealed. The unlaminated back has the slightest discolouration but is still exceptionally clean and bright. The text is sharp and the black is bold. The spine is exceptionally firm with clear black text on a clean white background
