Description
The Beatles 'Please Please Me' mono lp.
A particularly rare issue as this was the 7th presing, the last on the yellow and black label and it was only available from Summer 1969 until November 1969, hence selling in small quantities. I've included a photo which shows the attributes of this pressing including the XEX 421-1N / XEX 422-2N matrix numbers.
There is no doubt that the vinyl looks superb and is graded as excellent condition. It has a lovely original shine and the sound quality on play matches this terrific appearance. A few light spindle marks on the centre label on side 1.
The record comes in it's original advertising inner sleeve which has a slight tear of about 1.5" on one side.
The front laminated Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. sleeve isn't quite up to the standard of the record, more of a very good grade, with slight browning and marking on the back and a little area of damage on the spine which obscures where 'The Beatles' should appear next to the perfectly legible album title.
