Description
This is an auction for a rare single by, The Beatles, Please Please Me, Side 2, Ask Me Why.
This was released by Parlophone Records in 1963 and has catalogue number 45-R 4983. This is the 1st press with a red label, The 'Parlophone Co Ltd' in the upper case and 'Recording First Published 1963'. This is without 'Sold In UK' & 'Made In Great Britain' label text.

Condition: This comes with its original company sleeve that has discreet pen marks in the corners but is otherwise fine, no discolouring or edge splits.
Both labels are clean, under closer examination some tiny spider spindle trails can be seen on each side. The centre hole shows some signs of wear on both sides. Please check the pics for clarification.
The vinyl does retain some of its shine, under closer examination lots of feather scratches can be seen on both sides.
I have of course test played this through both sides and it actually plays very well despite being quite well played. Some light feckling can be heard at the very beginning of each side. Once the music starts this can not be heard. The music itself plays strong and clear with no major deterioation in sound quality heard. Other than the occasional quiet crackle both sides played through fine. There are no audible ticks or pops indicating that the above mentioned feather scratches are non-audible and superficial.
The vinyl for this is graded at a correct VG with the audio being slightly better. Down-graded because it is quite well played and does have surface marks.
A fine collectable and certainly better than a gap filler.
