Description
PLEASE PLEASE ME - PMC 1202
Vinyl: The vinyl is very clean and bright, but has scratches on both sides, more obvious on side 1. I have test played on my Linn system and detail the listening experience below: Side 1 1) I Saw Her Standing There - no clicks heard Inter - light clicks 2) Misery - no clicks heard Inter - no clicks heard 3) Anna - no clicks heard Inter - 1 click heard 4) Chains - light clicks throughout , louder towards the end Inter - heavier clicks 5) Boys - heavy clicks throughout, but somewhat masked by the rocking track. Inter - heavy clicks 6) Ask me why - clicks heard throughout Inter - lighter clicks 7) Please Please Me - light clicks
Side 2 1) Love Me Do - no clicks heard Inter - no clicks heard 2) PS I Love You - no clicks heard Inter - no clicks heard 3) Baby Its You - no clicks heard Inter - no clicks heard 4) Do You Want To Know Secret - couple of clicks Inter - no clicks heard 5) Taste of Honey - no clicks heard Inter - no clicks heard 6) - There's a Place - no clicks heard Inter - 2 clicks heard 7) Twist and Shout - no clicks heard
In my opinion, the audio sound is excellent, very good clarity and little surface noise. Apart from the scratches detailed above, there is little, if any, evidence of vinyl wear in playback.
The label details below suggest that this is a 4th pressing, from Summer 1963 to January 1964: - Black label with yellow logo and silver print - "The Parlophone Co Ltd" printed at the start of the perimeter print. - "Recording first published 1963" under label matrix number.
It does not have a TaxCode on the label or in the run off area.

The back cover is very clean with no writing, but the bottom wrap around flap from the front cover has a 3" creasing with slight fraying - see photo.
The inner sleeve is not original.
