DESCRIPTION:
Hi, This is an original MONO LP of "Please Please Me" by The Beatles, released in 1963 on the Parlophone / EMI Label.
Original 'Black and Gold' Labels with the very rare earliest '1' Stampers on both sides. You cannot find an earlier pressing
than a copy with the '1' mother stampers on both sides! It has been very well looked after and for 50 years old it still plays
well in glorious Mono. I have uploaded 12 Pictures so you can have a good look at what a great item this is.
LABELS:
The Labels are very good, nice and clean with the Vibrant Gold text over the Black background. There is only a little wear
around the spindle hole to report and there are no imperfections. The Labels have the small 331/3 and the Tax Code 'KT' is
embossed on the B-Side.
VINYL:
The Vinyl is good - very good, there are a few light scratches on both sides but nothing to serious and it plays through fine.
It is in really good condition for its age considering it must have been played a fair few times. It still maintains a lovely shine
and the etchings in the run-out area are nice and clear.
EMITEX INNER SLEEVE:
Original item, again It's in very good condition, just a few creases and a bit of discolouration over 50 years. No rips or tears.
FLIP-BACK LAMINATED PICTURE SLEEVE:
Very Good condition surprisingly! Most copies i have seen on e-bay, the flip-back sleeve is ruined or fair at best. There are
No rips, tears, creases, pen marks etc...some general wear and tear around the edge and on the corners. The spine is still
strong and the text is bold and prominent. The glued flaps on the rear have slowly started to fade in colour but not too bad.
This is the original cover with Angus McBean credits to the far right hand bottom corner and the Ernest J. Day & Co text on
the reverse side. It has the Large 'MONO' logo on the top right hand corner. All round this is a very nice album and you will
not see too many better original copies than this.
