THIS IS A VERY RARE FIRST PRESS REVOLVER STEREO WITH THE MIS-SPELT DR ROBERT LABEL THAT VERY RARELY COMES UP FOR AUCTION. A HIGH PERCENTAGE ON EBAY ARE THE CORRECTED DOCTOR SPELLING.I WOULD SAY ABOUT 9 OUT OF 10.SEE IF YOU CAN SPOT ONE. NOT ONLY THAT BUT THERE WONT BE MANY WITH A SUPERB VINYL LIKE THIS. SO IF YOU ARE A COLLECTOR YOU WONT WANT TO MISS OUT!!
THE GARROD AND LOFTHOUSE COVER IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH MINIMAL CREASING AND EDGEWEAR.THE SPINE IS STILL NICE AND SHARP AND PERFECTLY READABLE.THE FRONT HAS SLIGHTLY DISCOLOURED WITH AGE WHICH SEEMS TO BE VERY COMMON WITH THIS PARTICULAR RELEASE. THE FLIPBACKS ARE ALL SOLID WITH ONLY SLIGHT WEAR(SEE PHOTOS).THE BLACK REAR IS STILL NICE AND BRIGHT AND HAS NO WRITING OR STICKER DAMAGE.
THE LABELS ARE ALSO EXCELLENT WITH ONLY MINIMAL SPINDLE MARKS VISIBLE UNDER STRONG LIGHT. THERE ARE A COUPLE OF TINY SCUFFS ABOVE THE "TRADE MARK" WORDING ON SIDE 1 (SEE PHOTO). SIDE 2 IS EX+ WITH NO PROBLEMS AND HAS MIS-SPELT DR ROBERT WORDING FOR TRACK 4.KT STAMPED LIGHTLY ON ONE SIDE.
THE VINYL IS IN SUPERB STRONG EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH ONLY A COUPLE OF LIGHT HANDLING MARKS. NO SCRATCHES OR SCUFFS AT ALL. THIS IS AS CLOSE TO EX+ AS YOU WILL FIND! PLAYBACK IS ALSO SUPERB WITH NO PROBLEMS. NO SKIPS,JUMPS OR CLICKS.JUST GREAT CLEAR SOUNDING BASSY MONO.THERE MAYBE CRACKLE HEARD INBETWEEN 1 OR 2 TRACKS BUT MOST ARE ALSO CLEAR.I WOULD EASILY GRADE EX+
THE USE EMITAX INNER IS ALSO IN EX+ CONDITION.
OVERALL A FANTASTIC COPY OF A MUCH SOUGHT AFTER BEATLES CLASSIC!
Grading:
MINT: Brand new condition, no surface marks no deterioration in sound, all paperwork should be in perfect condition
Excellent: The Record shows some signs of being played, there is very little lessening of sound quality. The packaging may have very slight signs of wear and /or creasing.
Very Good: The Record has been played a number of times, but there is no major deterioration in sound quality, despite slight surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Good; The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps some mild scratches. The cover suffers from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits and discoloration.
Fair: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise. It may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
