DESCRIPTION:
Hi, This is the original MONO LP of "Please Please Me" by The Beatles, released in 1963 on the Parlophone Label.
Black and Gold Labels with the very rare '1' Stampers on both sides. You cannot find an earlier pressing than a copy
with the '1' mother stampers on both sides! It still looks pretty good for over 50 years old and it still plays through O.K
in glorious Mono! There is of course some background noise and the occasional click on the heavy duty vinyl.
I have uploaded 9 Pictures so you can have a good look at what a great item this is.
LABELS:
The Labels are Good+, nice and clean with the Vibrant Gold text over the Black background. There is some minor wear
around the spindle hole and some small nicks. The Labels have the small '331/3' and the Tax Code 'KT' is embossed on
the B-Side Centre-Piece.
VINYL:
The Vinyl is Good, there are no major scratches on either side and it plays through o.k as i said before. There are quite
a few superficial hairline markings on both sides and some rubbing but nothing that affects the playback. These are
just general wear and tear from over the years.
EMITEX INNER SLEEVE:
Original item, in excellent condition, just a couple of creases and small bit of discoloration over 50 years. No rips / tears.
FLIP-BACK LAMINATED PICTURE SLEEVE:
The Sleeve is in very good condition, most copies I have seen on E-bay, the flip-back is either ruined or Mint! There are
No rips, tears, creases, splits, pen marks etc...just some general wear and tear on the corners. The Spine is strong with
NO splits(see pics). The text all round is bold and prominent.
Even though the flaps are intact and glued down the previous owner had put a couple of strips of cellotape across them
to stop them coming away like many other copies have. The cellotape has been removed and left a residue mark which
I think can be carefully removed with the correct cleaner. Other than that this is a very nice Sleeve!
This is the original cover with Angus McBean credits to the far right hand bottom corner and the Ernest J. Day & Co text
on the reverse side. It has the Large 'Mono' logo on the top right hand corner. All in all this is a very nice Album and you
will not see too many better original copies than this with the '1' Stampers!
