In accordance with goldmine grading standards, the vinyl record itself is GOOD+. It has many surface marks as you'd expect but only one real 'scratch', which is on side A across the last two tracks. On our Linn Sondek LP12, this made no effect on the audio playback. We of course cannot guarantee the same across anybody's setup but we wouldn't expect it to make an impact.
Lots of marks but actually good condition for the age. Naturally it sounds like a pressing that came out in 1963.
Sleeve has a tear across the bottom edge from the sleeve opening inward, where a little section of the fold-over section of the sleeve is missing. No tape or anything present though. Otherwise just lots of general wear as you might expect from a record of this age - please ensure you've looked at the photos and are happy with the condition before buying.
**PLAYBACK CONDITION:
The record has some surface noise at the start of each side and during quiet sections between tracks, though is far more noticeable at the very start than in between tracks and surface noise does not overpower the audio overall. In fact it actually sounds really good and we have certainly had far worse sounding copies of this.
Side B is perhaps a little more crackly than Side A but clears up quite significantly a couple of tracks in.
There is a scratch (which can be felt with a fingernail, which means it is more than a 'mark') across the last two songs on Side A. This causes an audible 'pop' in this section that is not overwhelming but is there. It can be heard sporadically and not necessarily constant or so prominent that it completely ruins playback. The scratch does not cause a skip or jump, not on the LP12 we used for playback at least.
There is a small pop on track 1 on Side B, however this was very minor on our system. But it was there. Suspect with another good clean this might disappear.
