DESCRIPTION:
Hi, This is an original 1963, Red Label release of "Please Please Me" by The Beatles. Issued by EMI on the Parlophone
Label with "Ask Me Why" on the B-Side. The Catalogue Number is 45-R 4983 with the '1N' Matrix Numbers.
The Mother Stampers in the run-out grooves are 'PT1' etched at 9 o'clock on both sides. The Letter 'G' is etched on both
Sides at 3 o'clock. Please see the example below of how they are etched into the run-out grooves....

This is one of the very early 'Crossover' pressings that 'DOES NOT INCLUDE' the text 'Made In GT. Britain' on the A-Side
Label. It is only on the B-Side! It is visible under the Parlophone Trade Mark Logo on the Right Hand Side of the label but
is missing on the "Please Please Me" Side. These have become known as 'Crossover' Pressings.
The Vinyl I would grade as Good. It has no major scratches, just some superficial hairline marks and it plays through nicely.
The Labels I would also grade as Good. They still maintain a Nice Deep Red shine and the silver lettering is still prominent.
There is only minimal wear and tear to the spindle holes and there is a light rubbing mark on the B-Side centre piece Label.
The Push-Out centre piece has 'PT' embossed very lightly on the A-Side.
The Record is housed in the Original Parlophone EMI Candy Sleeve which has been kept in a Clear PVC Protective cover. It
will be despatched in this as well.
I have uploaded loads of Pictures so you can have a good look at exactly what you are bidding for. A Great Collector's item!
This Record does not come up for sale very often, particularly with such a unique pressing error. You could be one of only a
handful of Beatles Collectors to have such a rare item with these markings.
