A RARE ADDITION TO ANY BEATLES FAN'S COLLECTION!
The winner of this auction gets the following:
THE BEATLES "GREATEST HITS" U.S. LP - THE INFAMOUS ORIGINAL 1964 LP - STILL IN ITS ORIGINAL FACTORY SHRINKWRAP AND WITH ITS ORIGINAL INNER SLEEVE!
What makes this LP unique is that the cover, gold with four faceless mop-top hairdos on the front, a list of songs on the back, and no mention of an artist anywhere, looks like one of the early Beatlemania knock-off albums by such groups as "The Liverpools" and "The Manchesters," but it consists of actual Beatles recordings.
It was sold at legitimate retailers in 1964, but it quickly left the marketplace.
The most interesting part of the album was the inclusion of the original recording of "Love Me Do," probably dubbed from the Canadian 45; that version of the song wasn't legitimately issued in the U.S. until 1980!

MY GRADING POLICIES Mint: The package is sealed. There may be marks or a sticker on the shrinkwrap, but the cover and record inside remain pristine. NM: The record and labels are in brand new condition with few, if any noticeable surface marks. The cover is in near perfect condition. EX:The record and label show some signs of having been played such as some paper scuffing, some unfeelable wispy scratches, and/or spindle marks. The cover, corners, and/or spine might have slight wear and/or creasing. VG: The record may have been played many times. There are noticeable surface marks and/or the occasional feelable scratch. Normal wear on the cover, corners, and/or spine without any major defects. G: The record may have been played so much that the sound quality could have distortion and there are many scratches and/or marks on the vinyl. The cover, spine and/or corners may suffer from folding, scuffings, spine splits, etc.
