THE BEATLES BLACK ALBUM ULTRA RARE.
In some ways this is the rarest of Beatles rarities.
It is no longer on sale anywhere in the UK.There are only 7 copies of this available in the world at this moment. (Check EBay and Discogs). A few years ago it was sold for £500. (Check Popsike)
There is one copy of this available for sale in the US but none in the UK. Rare.
It is a TRIPLE ALBUM. The album is made up of outtakes from the 1969 Let It Be Sessions. It was released many years before the new Get Back film. (See pictures for track listing)
The cover is a double gatefold, but holds three 12” records. Two in one pocket, one in the other.
The triple album came with a large poster. This is normally damaged or lost. This copy is perfect. It has pictures of the band on one side (black and white and colour) and dialogue from the Let It Be Sessions on the reverse side. (See my pictures for this)
The vinyl on each looks virtually unplayed, or certainly rarely played. It is shiny and glossy.
The labels are of a dog with a gun at its head. This alone is rare as some copies came with plain coloured labels. No writing etc. (Please refer to pictures)
The cover is not as perfect as the vinyl and has not been stored well. There is ringwear (see pics) and some wear on spine. (See pics) having said that it is very much intact. The black cover has The Beatles name embossed in the front - much like “The White Album”. (See pics)
I have only included one picture of one record as they are all pretty identical. Labels name sides 1 and 2 on each disc. (Yes, I know, it would have been better to mark them 1,2,3,4,5,6, but it is what it is.
As I said this is an extremely rare album and very rarely appears at auction or for sale in the UK. I am starting the bidding at £175 which might seem high for a starting bid, but I am taking into account its rarity value. I am not accepting offers on this one. Auction only. When it has sold it has gone for three times this starting price.
I am a Beatles fan and not a shop. I have been buying (mainly) and selling on eBay for over twenty years and have a 100% positive feedback.
Postage will be first class, registered. (I believe that means it will be signed for as well as insured.)
