Selling a very rare album from my collection - PLEASE PLEASE ME - THE BEATLES - English press on Parlophone Black Gold label mono PMC 1202 YEAR FIRST PUBLISHED 1963 Dick James Publishing Credits on tracks 1 and 2 on side one tracks 4 and 6 on side two The first pressing E.J.DAY cover is characterised by Large MONO and right aligned Angus Mcbean photo credit on front cover with photo aligned with the end of S in songs The Embossed Tax Codes on side one are in reality WT - OT - ZT the Tax codes for respectively 1960 - 1961 and early 1962 strange and unusual combination of codes as a tax code of MT should have been used for release date 22nd March 1963 not unusual for mistakes to be made with tax codes. Tax code on vinyl is W O Z T Matrix on side one is XEX 421 - 1N at 6 o'clock and Stamper at 3 o'clock is 1 and Mother at 9 o'clock is H on side two Matrix is XEX 422 - 1N Stamper is 1 and Mother is H 1N on matrix represents first Lacquer and Mother on both sides of record denotes machine number 7 and stamper at 3 o'clock is number 1 makes the album a very early press anything between 3,500 to 4,000 numbered
