Description

On offer an extremely rare Decca acetate of 'The Stones I Throw', the song which was eventually released as a UK Atlantic 45 in 1965 by Levon And The Hawks who featured Robbie Robertson and I believe other members of The Band. This is the same version that was released on the 45 but comes with the addition of a printed music sheet of the song, which is original to the acetate. Bar some not to obtrusive inaudible storage marks the single sided acetate disc is a very presentable VG+ and bar light surface noise at the intro and outro, the disc plays well with a nice clear sound.
There was / is another recording on the flip but this has been scratched over with wavy etching to prevent play, I've seen this on other acetates of the time and would have been done back then.
Got another couple of acetates on ebay at the mo.
