ONLY PLAYED ONCE OR TWICE BY DECCA - TO CHECK THE AUDIO QUALITY - AND UNPLAYED SINCE - and the sound is sensational throughout - as you would expect from Decca who cut some of the finest sounding records of the period - clean, sharp and bright with nothing to fault

PRESSED ON QUALITY MID-WEIGHT VINYL WITH RED/WHITE 'GROOVED' DECCA TEST PRESS LABELS WITH HAND WRITTEN ARTIST AND TITLE, CATALOGUE NUMBER AND MATRIX INFORMATION
MATRIX: AIL - 2954 - 1B / AIL - 2955 - 1B (with KT tax code etched at the 12 o'clock position)
MOTHERS/STAMPERS: 1/B and 1/B (one of the fist copies ever pressed (possibly even the very first) with 'B' being decca's earliest stamper code, based on the letters - B.U.C.K.I.N.G.H.A.M.)
THE RECORD IS HOUSED IN THE ORIGINAL MONO COMMERCIAL RELEASE FRONT LAMINATED SLEEVE “Printed in England by Clout & Baker Ltd.” WHICH HAS THE VINYL CUTTERS/ENGINEERS NOTES HAND WRITTEN (IN PENCIL) BY THE TRACKS ON THE BACK OF THE SLEEVE IN THE FORM '*', '* (*)', etc
(I'M NOT SURE WHAT THIS SHORTHAND CODE ACTUALLY MEANS SO ANY CLARIFICATION FROM ANYONE IN-THE-KNOW WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED)
AND IT COMES COMPLETE WITH THE ORIGINAL POLY-LINED DECCA COMPANY INNER SLEEVE DATED FEBRUARY 1967 ('027')

Jim Yester’s brother Jerry (of Modern Folk Quartet) took over the production reigns from Curt Boettcher for this November 1966 release, and the result was one of the group’s most varied albums—oddly enough, the single chosen from the album, Pandora’s Golden Heebie Jeebies, was the strangest, most psychedelic song on the record.
The rest of the record veered from the folk-rock-pop harmony sound for which the band was already well-known to jazz to bubblegum-ish pop without a hitch

LABELS: The labels are clean, bright and fresh with just one (possibly two) light spindle traces - once/twice played (no doubt just to test the sound quality) - MINT-
VINYL Visual: The vinyl surfaces still retain their original deep glossy sheen and are practically unmarked - some light brush marks only which have no audio consequence at all - NEAR MINT
VINYL Audio: Outstanding audio delivery in every respect with a crystal clear, clean, sharp and fresh MONO cut. And on playback at a loud volume there are no audio issues of note whatsoever - the record plays beautifully and cleanly throughout in keeping with its barely played status - MINT(-) (silly grade really as the playback is flawless - but it has been played, albeit just once or twice)
SLEEVE: The front laminated MONO sleeve is also in great shape with just a few light marks to the back. All edges are crisp and square with no real wear to speak of - all spine text is clear and bold. The front laminated surface has a beautiful deep glossy sheen with just a little record impression - EXCELLENT
