THE AQUATONES - SING - FARGO RECORDS-LP-3001 -EXTREMELY RARE !
What you're bidding on today is an original pressing of the Aquatones album "Sing". This is a rare original pressing and isn't a an early repro !!
The Aquatones were a doo-wop group in the 1950s that charted just once, with "You", a ballad that was also covered by Gale Storm. The group's lead singer was 17-year-old Lynne Nixon, a soprano who had had formal operatic training. The Aquatones were a true "one Hit Wonder" group whose subsequent singles, for the Fargo label, all failed to reach the Hot 100.
LP: The Aquatones-" Sing". FARGO RECORDS LP 3001. Labels clean NM. The Cover is VG++, has a small 1 inch seam split in the middle bottom of the sleeve, (please look at photo). The Vinyl is VG++, Under a bright light it's pretty clean except for a scratch that goes from the 3rd last track to the last track on the B side...not deep or feelable though...The disc is loaded with shine and gloss, plays Clean and Loud. Overall this is in Amazing Condition for this Rare LP which in its day fetched way over $600.
