Description

This auction is for a Tascam 32 Reel to Reel Tape Recorder. It is a ½ track machine used and meticulously maintained by a professional production studio. 

 

The Tascam 32 is a high-quality mastering recorder that enables you to work in tandem with a full range of related studio equipment, mixer consoles, multi-track equipment and standards. Any tape recorded in the ¼” or ½ track format can be edited on this machine. This includes tapes recorded at 7.5 ips or 15 ips speeds, using NAB or IEC equalization, or on 7.5” or 10.5” reels.

 

This machine features front and rear listen for the end of a segment without tedious manual searching and “tape spilling”. The Zero Return button adds a handy, search-to-cue auto locator you can use during playback to easily find the beginning or end of an editing point.

  • Reel tables and hub adapter facilitate use of 7” or 10” reels (one lock is included)
  • 15 ips and 7.5 ips speeds
  • Fine tune tape speed with  + 12% pitch variation control
  • Intuitive tape transport controls
  • Bright, color-coded LED INPUT, OUTPUT and FUNCTION controls
  • Tip-Ring jacks accept input from recording consoles, video equipment and more
  • Dual/concentric input/output level dials provide independent controls for both channels
  • Separate VU meters for each channel
  • 4-digit reference counter
  • Zero Return and reset buttons to provide singe-point autolocator
  • Shut-off arm interrupts power in the event of tape breakage
  • “Record Ready” status indicator for each track
  • Separately controlled headphone jack and level dial enables monitoring tape without changing output calibration

 This machine has very minor scratches on the case, but is otherwise cosmetically excellent. It comes with one Tascam reel lock. It also accepts a footswitch, which can come in handy in professional studio use.

 This is sold AS-IS with no warranty written, expressed or implied.  We are charging $65 UPS for shipping, handling and insurance.  We will use bubble wrap and cardboard boxing to ship the unit.  It will be WELL packaged.  Dimensions: 17" W x 18" H x 7.5" L

This machine is in excellent condition and being offered with No Reserve. The studio has gone entirely digital, and this workhorse is part of select analog gear we’ll be sorry to see go.
