TAMAM SHUD
‘EVOLUTION’
1969 AUSTRALIAN PRESSING
SBP 233761
We we’re cleaning out our old stoner Uncles' closet and found this, does anyone know who these guys are?
Hahaha, kidding! TAMAM SHUD and their release from 1969, ‘EVOLUTION, have reached near mythical importance and influence over the years and to this day the record remains a classic, and hard to find, example of Australian garage/surf/psychedelica.
Let’s get to the grading!
COVER : G+
Spine still clear and readable, a few creases along it, but holding up well.
Front Cover: Ring wear present. Small split on right side opening with a crease to match. Corners still in VG condition with a little lift off on the bottom corners.
Back Cover: All text legible. Heavy ring wear all round, wearing more on bottom over CBS details and in the middle where the label sits. Tape residue on spine side, evidence on previous owners’ name top left corner.
VINYL: VG
This album has been quality tested, all songs play without skipping. Expected noise heard in between tracks, as well as occasional pops and pretty consistent crackle, more pronounced on Side 2, only once was it loud enough that it took this listener out of the Tamam Shud trance though.
Both sides have noticeable scratches and scuffs, but none that make it skip.

All in all, this is a well loved copy of ‘Evolution’ that any fan or collector would do well to have in their collection.
See pictures above of actual item for condition and see my grading system definitions below.
**This item is for sale elsewhere so the auction may end early if it sells before the end of this listing.
This is how I grade my vinyl:
· NEW SEALED = Obviously never been played or opened. Original shrink-wrap.
· MINT = Not a mark. If it's a record it plays with absolutely no noise (that I could hear), if it's a cover it is spotless.
· EX = Slightly inferior to MINT-. Maybe has a couple of pops or marks but has no effect. The cover will have very minor wear.
· VG+ = Pretty standard rating with most falling into this category. You can expect the music to come over clean but there will be some clicks or crackles and maybe the odd pop. The cover may have some obvious minor ring wear, creasing and laminate lift.
· VG = Getting some surface marks and noise while playing. Cover may have some obvious ring wear or general wear.
· G = Pretty noisy and marked and may stick or jump in one or two places. When it is rated here, it will be good if you don't have it or yours is worse than this. Cover condition would be worn in places but original likely.
