ITEM: Much sought after and EXTREMELY RARE Northern Soul MONSTER Vinyl 45. Talmadge Armstrong and The Escotts, released on Spindletop Records, catalog number SR-0015. Side one is "Give It Up", running time 2:49 minutes. Side two is "Gigi", running time1:59 minutes.
COMMENTS/CONDITION: This 45 came from a private collection, and has been in my personal collection for 25 +/- years. It is not a beat up record bought at a yard sale. The record is visually graded, and was test played. Grading is according to Goldmine Standards. If you are not familiar with that system, please go to the Goldmine web site and read the grading details BEFORE YOU BID.
The vinyl is in VG+ to VG++ Condition, with a nice shiny gloss. There are no warps, deep scratches, or groove wear. Center hole is perfectly round with no signs of repeated playing. Close visual inspection reveals a few very light scuff and hairline marks that are cosmetic only and do not affect the playback or listening enjoyment of the 45. This is a beautiful 45, one of the cleanest I have seen.
Both labels are in excellent, clean condition, with the exception of a thin black line drawn on each label. There are NO tears, peeling edges, writing, stickers, tape, or nasty stains.
This title very seldom becomes available for auction. Over the past few years, only a handful have appeared on eBay, selling for as much as $761.00 US.
