Rare UK 1st press BEATLES LP

THE BEATLES - PLEASE PLEASE ME

**RARE 1st PRESSING WITH BLACK AND GOLD LABELS**

Parlophone PMC 1202. (Matrix: XEX 421-1N / XEX 422-1N) Black and Gold Parlophone labels.

With "The Parlophone Co. Ltd" but without "Sold in the UK" label text. Side One label has 'Dick James Mus. Co.' credit for Ask Me Why and Please Please Me - see scans.

Ernest J. Day & Co laminated flipback sleeve with large "mono". Record also comes with the original poly-lined 'Emitex' inner sleeve.

Record: Visually the vinyl is only in good condition. The record has all-over wear and scratches. However I have played the LP through and it plays remarkably well - much better than its visual grade with no distortion and absolutely NO jumps. Sound-quality is nice and loud and any background noise is very low-level and mainly confined to between tracks. There is some spindle wear - see scan. Cover: The cover is VG- with wear to the edges, a small surface tear along the top left-hand side of the rear cover (see scan) and some general age discolouration to the back. There is also a name written in small letters in biro in two places on the back cover. The seams and spine are solid and all letters are clear and fully legible.
