This is an auction on a Sun Ra "Sound Mirror" Self Made 12" 33RPM LP with drawings. This unique album comes in a plain white sleeve with a clear textured contact paper applied to the entire front that has colored marker doodles and which covers a color photograph underneath. The back of the sleeve has an abstract line drawing in black marker. The sleeve is in EX cond., with some wear. The disc itself is in EX-NM cond., with no apparent scratches or defects. Written in colored markers on the labels are abstract line doodles and the title of the album. There is one long band (song) on side A, and two bands (songs) on side B. Engraved in the run-out groove on side A is 1978-2A. On the B side run-out groove it reads 1978-2B. Now here comes the best part: included is a series of five 8" by 10" pages containing doodles, line drawings, portraits, and one full "cartoon", which appear as if they were done by the same person who has "drawn" the covers and the record labels!! Whether or not this was actually Sun Ra himself, we do not know, but the possibility is intriguing! Ideal for all Sun Ra fans and his unique brand of jazz from Saturn!! For the US, we usually prefer to ship everything USPS priority mail with a delivery confirmation number. Priority mail offers average 2-3 day delivery of shipment. Other methods of shipping are available upon request. Postcards, photos and flat items will be shipped priority mail for the best service. Priority mail shipping costs vary, and are determined by weight and zip code. We now ship worldwide. International buyers please be aware of currency exchanges and we will assess shipping rates accordingly.
