About the artist:
In 1952 brothers Bernard and Francois Baschet began a study of musical instruments, by 1954 they had begun to build their own unique musical sculptures. Francois Baschet was born in Paris in 1920. He was trained by sculptors Emmanuel Auricoste and Hubert Yencesse.
His brother, Bernard, was born in Paris in 1917. He studied engineering at the Ecole Centrale and served as the chief of musical research for the French Broadcasting System. This is the rarest of all the 4 Volumes of their extraordinary recordings.
Many people will be familiar with one track on this album as it was used for the freaky 'Picture Box' Granada TV Show in the early 70's
