Description
This is an original copy of Hunger's album "Strictly From Hunger" released in '69. Stamped " D.J. COPY, NOT FOR SALE".
Found recently out of an old record collection.
No splits to cover with wear as shown. Wear to spine. Bottom and top edge, very good.
Record is as found, I have not cleaned it.
Record condition is most important here... I have played through the entire album and can guarantee that there are NO audible scratches. Dusty, yes, but cleaning could make quite a difference. I have many records I play including Mobile Fidelity. So condition is relative to new. Dusty throughout, some pops. I don't have a record cleaning machine...just a static brush...
Close-up photos of labels show few spindle marks from use-reflections show this best (labels are exellent). Record is not perfectly flat, but very acceptable, slight rise and fall with a little dip (less than 1/8" max rise) - nothing to affect play . Looking closely, minor surface scratches, some handling fingerprints and dust haze on surface.
Sound is awesome and a well done studio recording by the group. I purchased a cd copy ("import") just out of curiosity only to confirm the cd was made from an LP... poor sound, at least compared to the real thing, and even had scratch pops! (I've also heard record re-releases are possibly record copies). I sampled the cd before hearing the record and could not help but listen through the entire album. At least I was able to crank up the sound far more than my turntable. My denon moving coil was able to deliver much more off the LP-no need to go into detail... One of my favorite albums ever, but only discovered recently... I'll keep the cd copy for myself but will let this go since I am slowly liquidating my record collection. (saved this one for Ebay)
