Description

Fabulously scarce copy of an original Leopold Stokowski/Philadelphia Orchestra recording on 78RPM "picture records".  TWO RCA 10" discs (catalogue numbers 2000 and 2001) featuring Arcady Dubensky's "The Raven".  Benjamin de Loache is the narrator in this dark and lush composition that was recorded at Philadelphia's Academy of Music on December 9 and 10, 1932.  I have played this recording with a 3.5 mil stylus which revealed the discs to be in first class condition with only minor surface noise; NO pops or skips.  Visually, as one can note on the enclosed pictures, the records are quite stunning.  A superlative copy of a VERY rare recording.  A MUST for picture disc collectors and/or Stokowski "complete-ists".  Thanks for looking and good luck with your bidding.  Payment is expected within 3 days of auction close.  FREE insured SHIPPING to the auction winner.
