Steven Wilson Porcupine Tree - Signify 3 LP Test Pressing in Custom Sleeve

This utterly unique vinyl combination features Test Pressings of the first two records of Signify as they were originally issued on Delerium PLUS an extra Test Pressing of record two which was edited incorrectly. Its not sure how many of these still exist but as far as the extra disc is concerned this may well be the only surviving copy since the rest were probably thrown away. According to the information enclosed there were 10 copies of disc one, 10 copies of disc two (with the error) and 6 correct replacements of disc two. The music is identical to the released version of Signify on the extra disc two but the spoken word section of 'Dark Matter' is missing and 'Light Mass Prayers' starts part way through instead of at the start of the track. Its an interesting artifact. Please note the music itself is no different to the released version on the extra record. It just features different edits with bits missing. 
This Test Pressing is from Richard Allen's personal collection. Richard ran Delerium and signed Porcupine Tree in the early 1990s. Every Delerium LP issued had a special limited run of test pressings with custom made sleeves and he kept a copy of every one (the rest were distributed to the band and used for promo purposes).  
The Test Pressing of Signify is enclosed in a white card sleeve with paste on artwork front and back.  
Two records are date stamped 22nd May1996 and one is stamped 30th July 1996. 
Also included is a timing/mastering sheet for side 1 and hand written notes on the content.   
This is an important Steven Wilson/ Porcupine Tree Collectable and has never been sold on ebay before.

Signify is the fourth studio album by British progressive rock band Porcupine Tree. It was released in September 1996 It was the first complete album that frontman Steven Wilson recorded with a full band; previous albums had been essentially solo efforts with occasional help from other musicians. It was the bands first majorly successful record and had elements of the bands later heavy sound.
