Unique Stereophonics Performance & Cocktails White Label Box Set
To celebrate the Performance & Cocktails album, Stereophonics released a very limited edition box set of the album on 7 pieces of vinyl. With only 13 songs, the B-side to to last vinyl is an interview conducted about the legendary Morfa Stadium gig.
If you ever press vinyl, you always produce a white label test. And this is the test of the box set. It is believed this is the only one ever made! All vinyls have handwritten labelling. I was told this was written by Kelly when I acquired this, but to me the handwriting doesn't look like Kelly's.
7 pieces of vinyl, all housed in white paper inserts. A running order card, and all of that in a simple brown box. This is a historic piece that is a true one-off. Please see the image.
Note - eBay don't have a "box set" category. They are also setting maximum prices for postage. Because they don't have box sets this means they are treating this as a single album and setting the max price of postage at £4. Due to weight it will exceed that. Insured postage will be offered to the winner.
Where did this come from - from 2000-2005 I ran StereoBase which was one of the biggest Stereophonics websites. At that time I was a collector of all things Stereophonics. Some things remain very special and will never be sold, but there is a large box of really interesting stuff that can now go to a new home. If you are a collector and have any particular requests, drop me a line and I may well have it! I still love the band, and can't wait for the WGA and P&C gigs, but a large collection of things are no longer the priority. There will be a number of auctions coming soon, many with items that haven't hit the open market before or items that haven't been on sale for over 10 years. Payment via BACS, cheques, postal order, visiting your local NatWest, or Paypal. Postage to be added to cost. Insured postage is recommended, especially for higher value items. Please note that I work outside of the UK during the week and therefore I can only post items at the weekend.
