STEAMHAMMER/MK II/PRODUCTION MASTER ACETATE

DESCRIPTION: This is an incredibly rare CBS UK acetate for the first Steamhammer album “MK II”. It comes in a plain sleeve with the CBS “Album Cover Copy And Mastering” sheet taped to the front. The sheet is a print-out from the time with the information in typewritten text. It’s dated 3rd November 1969 and has a “FINAL COPY” stamp. The tape that adheres it to the sleeve has discoloured and become unstuck in places but still holds the sheet to the sleeve. There is a signature in the bottom right corner which shows the A&R Approval. The third track on Side B has a typo that’s been corrected by hand, the track’s title is printed as “Another Travelling Time” but has been altered to say “Tune” instead of “Time” which is the track’s actual title.
The acetate itself is EX, the label is a standard CBS ‘Advance Copy’ of the time, it was once white but has obviously faded over time. It reads: CBS ADVANCE COPY-NOT FOR SALE|STEREO|SIDE 1/2|CAT.No TEST ACETATE| TITLE (BLANK)|ARTIST Steamhammer.
Stereo, side 1/2, test acetate and Steamhammer are all typed the rest of the information is printed.
