hi, here we have a 'promotional disc' by Rank Cinema for the Star Wars film, The Empire Strikes Back. basically plays snippets to promote the upcoming film, and the subsequent album.
now, homework. whilst trying to find information regarding this 7" vinyl, I came across one of the earlier promotional discs but for the original 'Star Wars' film. this went into a specialist 'Star Wars' auction at a valuation by a 'Star Wars' aficionado who said of its rarity and may command a price of between 6 - 800 pounds. the auction house had other ideas and valued it at well under this price. what it went for. and another one turned up.
this one? well... only information I have gleemed was on a specialist music sale sight. ( cat45? ) where another Star Wars aficionado ( who had posted up he had one!! ) said "I have never seen one before this one came into my possession and hav'nt seen another. )

so, credited to John Williams and maybe London Philharmonic orchestra (?). record is reasonable. plays well. I usually clean most of mine but hav'nt done this one. there is white dot on one side ( not on play grooves ) and edges are rough ( please see images ) but this adds to its rarity value as Rank could'nt be bothered to set the presses up due to small number of pressings. ( that's what I think anyway because I have Northern Soul 7" that have a rarity value and are a lot better.
so, basically this will never get a play with me so will offer it up to the enthusiast of all things music/Star Wars related at NO reserve.
yep. would rather enjoyed than sitting in a record box and the fan will decide it's worth.
