First album from Manchester based blues rock combo “Stack Waddy”. I take it that the producers were John & Sheila Peel/Ravenscroft. 

Quite a crude recording (vocals mixed hard right, guitar hard left) but with tons of vitality and a brilliant choice of songs. Blues standards, one by Beefheart and even a cover of a Jethro Tull number.

You should know that this album is readily available as a CD and has numerous bonus tracks in that format. (Cherry Red Records 2007)

On with the main event.......

CONDITION.

The sleeve is in good condition*. Some edge wear and one or two blemishes. The main fault is that the LP half of the gatefold sleeve has split at the top.

I’ve uploaded a number of pictures to demonstrate the condition.

The Insert is in excellent condition.

There is a plain white inner sleeve which is excellent.

The Vinyl is between good and very good condition*. It looks excellent but has a number of pops which has me downgrade the rating accordingly.

Good News Everyone! You can check out the quality on the attached eCommerce Player. (In fact my request/demand is that you listen before placing any bid.) It’s all there from the stylus touching down and hitting the groove, side a run out, side b touchdown to run out.

(This album recorded on my Linn Sondek turntable using “Audacity”, exported as a 256  kbps MP3 file and uploaded into eCommerce Player. No editing whatsoever just a pause as I turned the disc over. It's all there from the moment the stylus touches down.)

Record Collector Magazine's Grading Guide:

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
