Stack Waddy Bugger Off ! LP Orig 1972 UK Dandelion A1/B1 Pro Cleaned Great Sound . On UK Dandelion Records / Polydor Records 2310 231 Super with paper labels . Nice to find an original copy of this classic .
COVER: Factory single non laminated card cover generally in good / very good condition .
Front And Edges / Corners: There are some very pale age related browning spot marks on the off white colour section but these really are very pale only and two or three other very light marks , mainly faint line marks , there are the usual ( very light at the top and sides ) ring wear marks present and some other larger bits of mainly soft creasing and larger bits of denting near the bottom right corner and a couple towards the bottom left corner which are showing a very light bit of cracking , these are more than likely down to the ring wear marks and from the outer edge of the record and quite often seen a couple are a bit harsher towards the bottom corners with denting . There are some arched dented crack lines present on and just near to the side opening edge along with a couple a bit further away towards the centre and also some usual ones round the edges but nothing excessively large round the edges . There isn't a great deal of obvious rub wear visible on the edges which i would have expected so i'm not sure if these edges may have been inked in , but if so , i must say that this has been very neatly done indeed . There is a light bit of often seen rubbing / fraying on the corners , mainly on the tips and some very small denting / creasing close to the tip on the bottom left corner . The spine is good and mostly legible bar the letter R in Bugger and part of the numbers 2 and 3 in the second part of the catalogue number , there are just two or thee often seen very small light crack lines and a light bit of denting . The side opening edges are close together and just have the odd light dent and some often seen but very light feathering on the faces of the outer opening edges , there are just a couple of other small bits of wear on the outer edges on the rear . I think pretty much all can be seen in the photos using the zoom facility , but please do just send me a message if you have any questions thank you .
REAR: The usual but mostly light ring wear marks are present with a couple of larger but quite light crack lines from the outer edge of the record towards each of the bottom corners and a couple of very faint ones towards the top right corner , there is one other quite light smallish crack line very near to the bottom left corner , there are just a very very very few usual but extremely light and very small age / use related marks ( barely visible ) , there are some usual crack lines present round the edges .
INNER SLEEVE: Off white poly lined inner sleeve generally only in near good overall condition . There is age related browning present round the edges ( quite dark in places ) , and a few other pale and small browning spot marks in places , there are just a few other age / use related marks in places , there are the usual ring wear marks present with heavier creasing towards the corners from the outer edge of the record , there are also some other bits of soft creasing and denting present in places , there is a small knick on the cut out inner circle on one side , and the catalogue number along with E9 is written small in the one top corner , there is a bit of wear on the top opening edges but really nothing excessive , i have decided to keep this as i think it is the original inner sleeve , this is mainly because it was with the record when i got it and it also is date coded 0072 38 , obviously though , i can't say for sure that it is the original inner sleeve , i couldn't see any obvious seam splits , i haven't took loads of photos of the inner as it is what it is , but hopefully you can see more if you use the zoom facility . I will also be putting the record into a new plain white paper inner sleeve .
LABELS: Dandelion logo paper labels generally in near excellent condition , still very nice and clean with just some usual but light spindle marks , both labels are writing free .
** Please note that the greyish coloured marks and bright shiny patches that are sometimes seen on some of the close ups of the record playing surfaces in the photos are purely a light reflection / glare and are not marks on the record , thank you ** .
RECORD: The overall visual grade of the playing surface under normal average household light conditions is a very very very strong very good condition ( excellent / near superb audio ) , i think some may say slightly better overall and i actually think it is a lot better than very good in normal light ! with just a few certainly non feelable very very light mostly faint scuffs and the odd extremely faint certainly non feelable small blemish , there are just a few very very light and very fine mainly whispy type hairlines and odd sleeve removal , there are no nasty gouges / nasty scratches whatsoever , i will also say that actually a good deal of these fine hairlines and actually some ( though there's really not that many and nothing really obvious ) of the other few non feelable very light scuffs etc are really only more visible when held at certain angles to or under a light . Please note that there maybe the odd tiny dust particle or tiny bit of fluff etc seen on the record in places in the photos off my wiping cloth due to static etc , i can't see them on the record at the time but they sometimes do show up when I take the close up photos , this is also because i do take the photos before i vacuum clean the record , thank you for your understanding . Please see below for audio description .
AUDIO A SIDE: Silent run in has some usual but generally very light noise . It plays excellent , perfectly crisp and clear throughout on the music playback with really nothing in the way of obvious noise that was worthy of mention , being really ultra picky i think , there may just have been the faintest bit of very brief static on a couple of the intros , as i say i think i'm being really ultra picky here and i really doubt that most people would have even bothered mentioning this as it really is that light and brief , but i do like to be thorough ! , even the longer track changeovers were nice and quiet overall , there was no nasty crackle and no nasty ticks , there may just have been the odd isolated very faint pop that i may have missed . Silent run off has some usual but generally very light noise . This side on the music really does play and sound fantastic overall and the audio tones are still awesome .
AUDIO B SIDE: Silent run in has some usual but generally very light noise . It plays superbly overall , perfectly crisp and clear throughout on the music playback with really nothing in the way of obvious noise that was worthy of mention , there really is nothing worthy of note to report here , even the mostly longer track changeovers were nice and quiet overall , there was no nasty crackle and no nasty ticks , there may just have been the odd isolated faint pop that i may have missed . Silent run off has some usual but generally very light noise . This side on the music really does play and sound fantastic overall and the audio tones are still awesome .
** A really excellent sounding example overall , i think certainly up there with the better sounding ones ! ** . Not a perfect cover but i think the audio more than makes up for this ! .
There were no jumps etc when tested on my deck and it still retains a lovely shine . Any noises tend to be in short bursts only , are over quickly , are not constant and do not spoil any enjoyment . If any noises are more frequent or louder etc , they will be described separately in the above detailed descriptions thank you .
All in all a very nice example of this now very collectable item together with super overall sound , do turn this one up and enjoy ! . I understand that the cover is not perfect so i have started this one off at what i think is a keen £84.99p , the extra shown is what Ebay add on for their fees . Thank you very much for your time and interest and happy bidding . Please do read the following ref record gradings explained thank you .
Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times , but displays no major deterioration in sound quality , despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch , some forms of noise will more than likely be heard in places especially on the quieter parts and the odd tick or pop may also be heard in places especially on the quieter parts , but none of this will overpower any of the music in any way , light edge warps etc and some light " dishing " are acceptable but will not affect the play or sound quality at all , any warps that are more prominent will be described in more detail . Please see the descriptions above for the cover condition .
Very Good / Near Excellent: The record has obviously been played but shows no overly excessive play wear . There will be some light only surface marks though most will be just fine hairlines , there will be no major deterioration in sound quality at all though some amount of light noise / occasional light pop may be present in places especially on some of the quieter parts , but none of this will be loud or constant or overpower any of the music , the record will play through perfectly , light edge warps etc and some light " dishing " are acceptable but will not affect the play or sound quality at all , any warps that are more prominent will be described in more detail . Please see the descriptions above for the cover condition .
Near Excellent: The record has obviously been played but shows only light signs of this , a few of the lightest non feelable surface marks being mostly very fine hairlines will be present , but it displays no deterioration in sound quality . Some brief bits of very light noise and very occasional usual light pop maybe present in places and would be acceptable on some quieter parts , but none of this will be loud or constant or overpower any of the music , light edge warps etc and some light " dishing " are acceptable but will not affect the play or sound quality at all , any warps that are more prominent will be described in more detail . Please see the descriptions above for the cover condition .
Excellent : The record shows some signs of having been played , but there is very little lessening in sound quality , light edge warps etc and some light " dishing " are acceptable but will not affect the play or sound quality at all , any warps that are more prominent will be described in more detail. Please see the descriptions above for the cover condition .
