Authentic Soviet X-Ray record display- Howlin Wolf - Shake For Me
This display is truly one of a kind! Soviet X-ray records (also known as Bone records) are recordings transferred to used x-ray films. X-ray records were a secretive way music lovers obtained bootlegged music during the Soviet oppressions of its people. During the Soviet era (1922-1991) the Soviet government deemed all Western music unpatriotic and was outlawed.
These displays are customized and can be displayed on a wall or free standing. The X-ray record can also be removed from the display and played on your stereo system. The back lit display has a glass front to protect the X-ray record for safe keeping.
As you can imagine, the sound quality is not very good, but that was not an issue for an oppressed people thirsting for music.
This unique item is a perfect gift for a music buff and a chance to own an important piece of music history.
