Sound Sculpture Bill Fontana Aust EMI Custom RARE

Side One of this reare record, “Sound Sculpture” consists of recordings made at Kirribilli Wharf in Sydney, Prince Albert bridge Gundagai, and Moorabbin Airport. Side two are studio recordings – “Pipe Phase” which explores phase differences between microphones, and “Piano Sculpture” examines the spatial relationships of a group of identical instruments (4 pianos all played by Richard David Humes”. Sponsored by the Art Foundation of Victoria, this is an Australian pressing on EMI’s Custom Pressing Label (YPRX 1434). The record is of excellent appearance, and plays and sounds superb with a minimum of surface noise. The cover has a ring and other minor wear.
