Description
Walter Roland – Red Cross Blues No. 2 Sonny Scott & Walter Roland – No Good Biddie
Romeo 5263
Recorded in New York City 1933
10" 78 RPM Shellac Record
Graded/Plays V to V+ V = Moderate, even wear throughout, but still very playable. Surface noise and scratches audible but not intrusive. V+ = Average condition in which scuffs and general use has dulled the finish somewhat. Wear is moderate but playing is generally free from distortion and surface noise not overly pronounced.
Walter Roland’s second version of the classic Red Cross Blues is beautifully performed and certainly good enough to be going on with but, while Sonny Scott recorded more dramatic pieces, he and Walter Roland combine to produce a classic in No Good Biddie on the more rare Romeo dime store label.
Some crackle takes care of the V in the grade at the start of this one, after which it plays clean.
Comes from a smoke-free home.

Please note that my postage rate for 78's reflects the additional costs involved of purchasing a specific sized box and using additional packaging materials.
