Description
From England, this is Esquire Records 32-045, Sonny Rollins Saxophone Colossus, an original mono issue of this classic record with RVG etched in the dead wax. The record is in VG+(+) condition (a strong VG+), showing some light marks and playing quietly except for two instances during piano solos where some very light background crackle is audible. This does not interfere with the enjoyment of the music and it is still an excellent listening experience. The glossy cover with it's unique picture, has a tear on the front repaired by tape, and some small holes along the open edge but is otherwise intact. The labels show some spindle marks and a light blemish. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12.
