This is the jewel from a recent batch of original issue lps Now I know why people chase after the original pressings. I have a high end system and over 50 Blue Note albums but none in this condition that are original issues. The attack from Newk's horn, Philly Joe Jones symbols sound amazingly life like. Even my teenage daughter came in and said that the record sounded great and I didn't even ask her. The record has some light noise in some quiet spots but does not detract at all from the experience. There are record scratches but they are audible.
The record has the deep groove (see the label picture) and no INC or R on it. It also has the ear and RVG stamped on the wax. I have played it twice and will play it again before its shipped out.
This is definitely the best of the thousands of Jazz records I currently have.
Due to its value I will only send Priority International Mail so it can be insured.

Grading Scale
NM - near perfect, played rarely if ever.
VG++ - almost like new with only superficial signs of use that dont affect play. Only well cared for records will grade out to VG++.
VG+ - vinyl may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or light scratches that don't affect the sound.
VG - surface noise will be noticeable,but will not overpower the music.

These records go for 10 to 15 percent of the Near Mint value, if you are lucky.
Good does not mean bad! The record still plays through without skipping, so it can serve as filler until something better comes along. But it has significant surface noise and groove wear, and the label is worn, with significant ring wear, heavy writing, or obvious damage caused by someone trying to remove tape or stickers and failing miserably. A Good to VG– cover has ring wear to the point of distraction, has seam splits obvious on sight and may have even heavier writing, such as, for example, huge radio station letters written across the front to deter theft.
