Description
Sonic Youth double 7" set on Fierce Records UK with Etching in the vinyl on the flip side by Savage Pencil.
Record number 1 of this double 7" set contains the otherwise unreleased anywhere else original John Peel session recording of the song Expressway To Your Skull which is retitled Stick Me Donna Magick Momma
Record number 2 of this double 7" set contains a live version of the song Making The Nature Scene which was also available on the Overkill Your Idols 7"
And on the other side of the vinyl is etching artwork that has to be seen to be believed, it's AWSOME!
Catalogue number is Fright 015 and Fright 016 respectively
Records and sleeve are in EX+ to M- condition.
The Fierce label never made many copies of their releases, these records have hand drawn labels unique to each 7". Fierce also did a great 7" by Jesus And Mary Chain called The Riot EP, another great ultra rare record.
I have been collecting Sonic Youth for over 15 years, and this is only the 2nd one of these that I have ever had the chance to buy. This is a 2nd copy and it's time for me to pass it on to another collector.
If you are a serious SY collector then you know how rare this is, probably only 100 of these were made, although I can't seem to find anyone who has pressing knowledge on this double 7". I even asked Thurston Moore personally once when I met him here in New York City at the WFMU record fair and HE didn't even know.
