Description
This is by every measure the holy grail of Sonic Youth collectibles. Makes a sealed original copy of Daydream Nation LP look like you can still order it new. Back in the days before eBay this record simply NEVER turned up, the only way I managed to get a copy was to purchase one direct from Bob Bert, Sonic Youth's original drummer. Although that copy is not in as good of shape as this one, I decided to hold onto it and sell my duplicate which you see here.
What makes this record so unique is the hand colored labels and incredibly detailed etchings that adorn the b-sides on both the 45s (this is a 2X7" set). Presumably because the younger collectors are not familiar with this, when it turns up on eBay it goes for FAR less than it should. This record deserves to be in the same category of rarity as Nirvana - Love Buzz, etc.
Great opportunity as everyone will get hip to this one day and you'll have one of the few. My understanding is that only 300 were pressed. Dig it. M-/M-/M- condition (has tiny imprint on front cover of someone who wrote a price over a price sticker - no residue, just the imprint - have to hold to light at right angle to see it).
