Somethin' Else Cannonball Adderley Blue Note 1595 mono. RVG and ear. 47 W 63rd. Very thick vinyl. Deep groove both sides.
With Miles Davis, Hank Jones, Sam Jones, and Art Blakey (who is amazing here)
If you are looking at this auction you know how important this album is in the history of jazz. Adderley blows bop great, certainly his best contribution to sax mythology. Miles is cool. Blakey hot, and the Jones keep the action going. Condition: Cover: VG+/VG Shiny, no seam splits. Corners bumped Name on front and back. Labels: VG+/ VG Name on front and back. W 63rd. Vinyl: VG+/VG Some superficial hairlines but no feelable scratches. Sporadic light surface noise and dust pops that improve towards the dead wax. Bright, full Van Gelder sound. Would likely be improved with a professional cleaning. Optimists will enjoy the rich analog sound and put up with the surface noise, as it doesn't interfere with the music. Pessimists would probably prefer to wait for a NM copy.
