Description

Here for auction: Sir Georg Solti Conducts the "Ring" by Wagner. 22 LP's UK Decca pressings, in a wooden, embossed presentation box. There are five sets: the four that make up the Ring + the "Introduction to the Ring" by D. Cooke. Each set has it's own booklet and it's own coloured label's and outer sleeves.There's a different colour for each set.

I have checked various parts of the discs for sound quality on a Thorens TD160 super with SME Mk III arm and B&O MMC II cartridge, Roksan Kandy RA Mark III amp and B & W DM 603 floorstander's. I hope this gives a fair representation of the disc's quality in the description below.

Vinyl is in superb NM condition.Beautifully clean with a nice shine.Unmarked...The discs lie flat and have no warping or kinks...And sound quality is Awesome. Very fine indeed with clear and undistorted reproduction. All vinyl really fine and looking hardly used .

Box is EX+ condition. In very nice condition and near to looking as would when new.Just a couple of very minor scuffs/dinks. Really nothing much. Lovely example.

Booklets & inner's all in super NM condition

Label's EX+ Only a few light spindle marks on one or two label's (most NM) and no other marks or blemishes at all.Very Fine.
