There are few records on Earth that can match this.

Oh, there are Gales, Levinsons, Rca's, Mercury's that will light any audiophile fire, to be sure. But this disc…mercy…you are in for it.

Part of Mobile Fidelity's early 1980 efforts, this release unquestionably delivers from the original Decca master tapes, something you know, in your bones, the very moment it makes a sound.

(Trust me, it silences, immediately, any ardent audiophile.)

Incredible depth here, awesome definition, a noise floor as low as it gets, and a sonic delivery of music that, I tell you, at the end of A NIGHT ON BARE MOUNTAIN, a group of audiophiles broke out in yelling and applause; on their feet, because, well, you simply cannot help yourself.

I tell you, when the horns come for you here, there is a crunch, a power that is unGodly, that sets your skin ablaze, the Galvanic response right off the meter. You are in the hall, "seeing" everything, feeling its boldness on your chest, the bass across the floor as if sent by Zeus.

Put the stylus anywhere…Glinka's RUSSLAN AND LUDMILLA; Mussorgsky's KHOVANSHCHINA (Prelude); Borodin's PRINCE IGOR…for quite startling sound. Then play NIGHT ON BARE MOUNTAIN.

In my view, one of the top ten enthralling audiophile/music lover experiences possible from records.
