Description

This is Blue Note Records BST 84136, Solomon Ilori And His Afro-Drum Ensemble African High Life, a blue and white Liberty label stereo issue of this obscure recording with Van Gelder stamped in the dead wax. The record is in near mint condition showing almost no signs of wear and playing quietly throughout. The glossy original cover with it's 43 West 61st St. New York 23 address has 2" of clear tape on the top seam and a small label tear, but is otherwise excellent and intact. The labels are excellent with little or no spindle marks. This is an excellent collector's grade copy of this beautiful Blue Note. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12.
