Description

This is Blue Note Records BST-84136, Solomom Ilori And His Afro-Drum Ensemble African High Life, a blue and white, New York USA label original stereo issue of this obscure African record,with Van Gelder and the ear (p) stamped in the dead wax. The record is in VG+(+) condition, (a strong VG+) showing light  marks. The record plays quietly with light intermittent background crackle in some of the quiet spots. There is no distortion or skips and nothing to interfere with the enjoyment of the music.  The original laminated cover, with it's 43 west 61st St., New York 23 address has some water damage on 4" of the bottom seam. The labels have some staining but show no spindle marks. An original inner sleeve is included. This is still an excellent, collector's grade copy of this classic original Blue Note issue with all the proper markings. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12.  Please check our other listings as we discount shipping for multiple orders.
