Solar Plexus S/T Evidence Music RARE PRIVATE JAZZ 1975

Here is a great find; an original  pressing of the debut LP by SOLAR PLEXUS, released on the private imprint Evidence Music in 1975 and very hard to find now. Vinyl is  VG+ with a few light sleeve scuffs, but still nice overall for its age. Cover is  a weaker VG+; there is only light surface wear, there is fairly heavy edge wear on the top side, with the seam separated in a few spots. Overall, it doesn't look too bad; I just have to mention these things as thoroughly as possible. RARE, and hard to find in any condition. Don't pass this up!

A little overview of the group I found, written by later violinist Eric Golub:

Co-founded by trumpeter/composer Randy Masters and keyboardist/composer Denny Berthiaume. Featured rather complex arrangements, with Masters' compositions favoring Brazilian elements, and Berthiaume's wedding fusion and third stream concepts.
The 'classic' group represented on "Voices" and "Solar Plexus" featured a front line of Glenn Richardon on reeds/flute, Masters on trumpet, and Lin McPhillips providing female vocalese a la Ursula Dudziak. In 1979, I joined the group, my violin and viola replacing McPhillips' voice, and I can be heard on "Earth Songs". The group disbanded in 1981.
All the key players remain active, mostly in the San Francisco Area.
