Signed Copy Graf Zepplin Single "Your In My Mind" & "Sunset"

You are bidding on one Single 45 by Graf Zepplin recorded at Orlyn Studios in Chicago Illinois, and signed by one of the bands original members, Gary Knaus.

As few words below from Gary:

Bill, Bob, Dave, John and I had a blast recording this record in 1968 at the Orlyn studio in Chicago.  I composed and sang on the flip side, Sunset.  Yes, that is my signature on the sleeve.  You can see me signing it in the picture. 

This record is in mint condition and from my personal (very, very small) supply of originals.  The vast majority of the 500 copies pressed by RCA (each of us in the band received 100 copies) were given away in the late 1960’s to friends, fans and the few radio stations that played our songs.  How many of those 500 copies remain in existence is unknown.  It is likely only a few survive in mint condition.

While most of the information on the Internet about Graf Zepplin is true, our band’s name did not derive from seeing the famous Graf Zeppelin stamp.  The name was coined by my father, Bob Knaus, who was in advertising. 

The photograph of our band was taken by John Von Dorn on a Sunday morning in Winfield, Illinois.  (I am the one in glasses holding the coffee cup.  We do eventually get old, expand and loose our hair – well some of us anyway.)  John was an accomplished photographer and artist in the Chicago area.  I clearly recall that morning because a member of a local church came by and asked us to turn down the volume - we disrupted a service being held a couple of blocks away. 

I hope the buyer enjoys this rare treasure from the 60’s.

Shipping Policies

We only ship to confirmed Paypal addresses if using Paypal.  This is for our mutual protection and keeps costs down for both of us.  Shipments are normally shipped next day.  Please note I can't control the US Postal Service delivery times.  All I can do is hold up my end of the bargain and ship next day.

Non-Paying bidders

You bid is a contract and commitment to pay.  I expect payment within 3 days of the auction.  If you need a few extra days, I would appreciate an e-mail giving me a heads up.  If you do not pay within 7 days, I will report the sale to E-Bay as a non-paying bidder.  I have to hold coins and turnover is slower, costing everyone money and time.
