Here we have lovely Shelagh McDonald with “Stargazer” a RARE FOLK LP on B&C Records CAS1043. This is the original 1971 UK pressing and includes the correct blue and white paper inner sleeve.
It is as RARE as a polite child or an honest cabinet minister.

This isn’t a perfect example. The DISC is very clean and plays beautifully, but has a few VERY light but just-about-visible marks (from that blue & white inner sleeve?) on one side only. They do not affect play in the slightest, and on my very good gear the record plays through magnificently. I’d conservatively describe one side as a very strong VG++ or better, and the other as a strong VG+ or better.
It is a very collectable and enjoyable disc.
The outer sleeve is again not perfect, and I’ve pointed out in the photographs where the tiny blemishes are. The blue & white inner sleeve is not very wonderful at all (don’t worry, you’ll get a new poly-lined one from me). There is the remainder of a splodge of coffee (or Guinness) and a small biro-written number on one side of the inner.
The inner sleeve is not magnificent but it is original.
The music is, of course, superb with the singer mixing influences from Sandy Denny and Joni Mitchell... plus lots of Shelagh McDonald!
The musicians are a who’s who of 1971 folky rocky singer-songwriter-y persons, and the production is very much in the Joe Boyd manner.
I give this a five star recommendation.
