Doug Sax was my friend, as was his brother Sherwood, they were my customers in Hollywood. This Era will never be repeated. I cannot think of another person, who's forethought and ambition, his striving for perfection, had a greater positive impact on the record industry, as did Doug Sax, and all of those at The Mastering Lab. That group of people, Doug, Sherwood, Tom Pisano, Steve Hazeltine, changed the business of recording and proved to the rest of the world, just how good records can sound. This record, and all of the records of Sheffield, are in reality priceless, and none of them can ever be repeated. This vinyl, is a capture in the moment and time, when the art of reproduction was at it's pinacle, and leading the way, was Doug Sax. No one before him, and none after him will ever do for the record business what my friend Doug did.
