Offered here is a sealed, New-Old-Stock package of ten (10) Audiodisc 8-inch Blue Label professional recording blanks, manufactured by Audio Devices, Inc., 235 East 42nd Street, New York.
Audiodisc was the original inventor and industry standard for instantaneous lacquer recording discs used by radio stations, field reporters, musicians, military units, and recording studios from the 1930s through the 1950s — before magnetic tape became widespread.
These are true lacquer (acetate) discs, designed for direct-to-disc recording, not vinyl pressings. They were used to cut:
