Description
Please Read, And Understand, The Following Auction Instructions Before Proceeding To The Item Description Found Below. Thank You.
This item is just one of what will be more than 100 items in my "78rpm auction." It will take me about two weeks or so to list all items. ALL invoicing will commence following the CONCLUSION of the LAST listed item in this "auction." You can view all my items and their ending times by clicking on "View Seller's Other Items."
Following completion of the ENTIRE "auction" I will e-mail every winner a (combined) invoice within three days. Please immediately respond to your invoice with your complete name and shipping address so I know you received it. E-mail is not 100% reliable and some are "lost" so if you do not hear from me within three days then filters may have rejected my e-mail and I request that you PLEASE e-mail me. Both seller and buyer must make the effort to communicate with each other to make this auction a positive experience for all.
Payment is due within 10 business days of the date of your invoice. If you anticipate a problem or a delay PLEASE communicate with me immediately. Otherwise unpaid item is withdrawn with appropriate feedback.
From those who have completed prior auctions I accept personal checks, money orders or cashiers checks. For first time winners payment must be made either by money order or cashiers check.
Shipping is via USPS Media Mail. Insurance is recommended, but not required. However, I will no longer be responsible for uninsured items .
There is a $4.00 charge per box of 78's to cover the cost of a new box and ample wrapping tape and other materials. The postage charged will be no more than the actual amount required to ship your 78's via Media Mail.
Your 78's will be very carefully sandwiched between cardboard, surrounded by crumpled newspaper padding and securely taped in a new box.
I have about 40 years experience buying, playing, grading, selling and shipping 78's so you can absolutely rely on the accuracy of my grading and the integrity of my packing and shipping. Thank you and good luck.
ITEM DESCRIPTION:
Malcolm Sargent conducts the London Philharmonic Orchestra with Artur Schnabel, pianist, in the Beethoven Piano Concerto #2 on four 78rpm Scroll "Z" discs in their original album, M-295, with original album notes. The "Z" does not actually appear on any disc - which is not uncommon - but I know from the smooth, virtually silent surfaces, and the nearly black color of these discs in direct light that they are "Z" pressings. This is a very early pressing with 3 sides from "A" stampers, 4 sides from "B" stampers and one side from a "C" stamper. The last Victor Scroll set is M-350.
Visually and aurally these discs are in Excellent condition. The album and album notes are also in Excellent condition. This is probably about as good as it gets.
